N eza’s story began in The Land of a Thousand Hills, Rwanda, and continued to the American midwest. He was raised in an area referred to as Michiana, a border country centered on South Bend, Indiana — the birthplace of Studebaker cars and the University of Notre Dame. A small city with big city dreams.

At a local brewery, he tried an IPA for the first time. He immediately wanted to understand where the flavors and aromas came from. He dove into the craft beer industry in its early stages and was employed at a brewhouse while attending college for marketing at Indiana University and IUPUI.

After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles and worked at Tony’s Darts Away, Hermosillo, and Highland Park Brewery. His curiosity for wine developed naturally, and stories of centuries-old traditions and new approaches being utilized from the vine to the bottle grabbed his attention. Neza now has 20+ years of employment in the hospitality industry, and his excitement for the wine industry continues to blossom.
