Dan Lundin

Los Angeles Sales

A fter graduating from UCLA, Dan took a break from Los Angeles and moved to San Francisco. He had friends in the city, but no real plan, so when he walked into a North Beach wine shop and discovered they needed some help, it seemed as good a place as any to bide his time until he figured things out. (You can probably guess where this is going.)

During his twenty plus years in the wine and spirits industry, Dan has worked for a major national distributor, a marketing company (for LVMH) and a host of world class wineries, leaving behind an endless trail of responsibly disposed of corks. “I’m like Johnny Appleseed, only instead of sowing seeds, I liberate corks from bottles. Also, my name’s not Johnny.”

And what has Dan figured out since his wine shop days? “If there’s a most important thing, it’s to work with good people. The other most important thing is to work with products you believe in, products you might make yourself if you had the means and/or skills and/or got there first. Vintage ’59 is an assembly of fantastic people who represent an equally fantastic portfolio, i.e. both of these important things. I’m thrilled to be a part of the team.”
